ESPN Footy Central debuts Wednesday April 29 on ESPN on Disney+ – AFL legends Dermott Brereton and James Hird will host the new AFL show – ESPN Footy Central – providing footy fans with a fresh take on the biggest AFL stories along with previewing the upcoming round.
‘ESPN Footy Central’ will debut on Wednesday April 29 on ESPN on Disney+ in Australia with new episodes weekly. It will also be available on ESPN’s local digital and social platforms.
The show will feature the biggest games and the biggest names, in a compact, lively and fun format, with the legendary hosts breaking down who won the week and who needs to lift.
Dermott Brereton and James Hird will offer audiences insights and perspectives and bring footy fans into their incredible chemistry and closer to the game they love.
The two all-time greats are amongst the foremost credentialed footy experts, boasting numerous accolades across their respective AFL careers, which includes induction in the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
Brereton played 211 games in his stellar AFL career, with the Hawthorn legend winning five AFL premierships with the Hawks.
Hird won the 1996 Brownlow Medal. An Essendon legend, he played 253 games for the club, winning the 1993 and 2000 AFL Premierships, as captain, before becoming senior coach of the Bombers.
