Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach audience lead of 85 000 and an average audience lead of 74 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 137 000 (835 000). Home and Away – episode 2 was #13 with 928 000 (761 000). Home and Away – episode 3 was #14 with 890 000 (734 000). Jim Jefferies and Friends was #16 with 775 000 (283 000). First Dates UK was #29 with 477 000 (170 000). A repeat of Australia’s Most Dangerous Prisoners was #53 with 277 000 (115 000). Gatecrashers was #129 with 119 000 (38 000).

The Chase UK – 366 000 (207 000)

Sunrise – Early – 526 000 (249 000)

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #3 with 1 393 000 (908 000). RBT was #4 with 1 315 000 (567 000). RPA aired in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and was #11 with 987 000 (413 000). Paramedics aired in Melbourne and was #42 with 328 000 (139 000). A+E After Dark was #31 with 436 000 (193 000). 9News Late was #36 with 368 000 (190 000). Chicago Med was #69 with 220 000 (100 000).

10 News+ was #34 for the night. Deal or No Deal was #33 with 382 000 (234 000). Gogglebox was #12 with 932 000 (538 000). The Celebrity Traitors UK was #18 with 758 000 (241 000). The Office Australia was #49 with 281 000 (84 000). 10’s Late News was #124 with 124 000 (61 000). An encore of The Cheap Seats was #105 with 145 000 (60 000). An encore of 10 News+ was #153 with 102 000 (37 000).

ABC

ABC News was #7 for the night. 730 was #6 with 1 216 000 (774 000). Grand Designs Australia was #10 with 1 055 000 (526 000). Long Lost Family was #20 with 641 000 (292 000). An encore of Mystery Road: Origin was #62 with 250 000 (82 000). ABC Late News was #111 with 140 000 (36 000).

How the Networks Analysed their Own Performance

  • 9News was the No. 1 program across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney and Brisbane  with Total People. It was also the No. 1 news bulletin across Australia and in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth with the key demo of People 25-54. The combined national bulletins secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.854 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.156 million – up 5.4% year-on-year. On 9Now, it claimed a BVOD Audience of 146,000 – up a massive 65.9% on the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.393 million and a Total TV National Audience of 908,000. On 9Now, it registered a BVOD Audience of 111,000 – up 63.2% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No.1 afternoon game show across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.255 million and a Total TV National Audience of 670,000 and a BVOD Audience was 85,000 – up an impressive 80.9% year-on-year.
  • RBT secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.315 million, a Total TV National Audience of 567,000, and registered a BVOD Audience of 72,000.
  • RPA secured a National Total TV Reach of 987,000, a Total TV National Audience of 413,000, and registered a BVOD Audience of 40,000.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Sydney and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 769,000, a Total TV National Audience of 315,000. On 9Now it recorded a BVOD audience of 49,000 – up 36.1% year-on-year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1network on Thursday across the 5 City Metro with Total People, People 25-54 and GS18+.
