TOTAL TV
Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 program overall in the Total TV report for last Thursday with 1,334 000, up 3%. Seven News (6pm) was also up 3% to 1,333 000. Home and Away Late (8pm) episode was top non news and #5 overall at 895 000, up a massive 43%. Home and Away (two episodes at 7pm and 7:30pm) had 878 000, for as 23% rise. Classic Kath and Kim episodes were at 426 000, up 7% for episode 1, at 360 000, up 8% for episode 2 and at 304 000, up 7% for episode 3. Earlier in the day, The Chase Australia rose 3% to 709 000 at 5:30pm and 457 000, also up 3% at 5pm. Seven News at 4:30pm rose 2% to 330 000. Sunrise saw an uplift of 5% to 388 000.
Nine News was #3 with 986 000, up 3% whilst the 6:30pm half hour saw an identical 986 000 audience and also up 3%. A Current Affair was #9 with 819 000, up 5%. RBT was second in its slot and up 6% for a total audience of 651 000. Paramedics improved on its lead in with 651 000 viewers, up 12%. A+E After Dark rose 8% to 365 000. Hot Seat was up 3% to 498 000, whilst Hot Seat 5pm was up 3% to 323 000. Tipping Point was up 7% to 398 000 viewers. Nine’s Afternoon News was up 2% to 369 000. Today had an uplift of 7% to 305 000.
Gogglebox was best for 10 with a total audience of 866 000, an uplift of 25% to land at #7. Lead in, The Project 7pm was up 4% to 399 000. 10 News First rose 2% to 348 000.
ABC News had 852 000, an increase of 4% with 730 up 8% to 383 000. Budget 2022/2023 Opposition Reply was up 4% to 454 000. Q+A rose 7% to 302 000.
I always love seeing the Handmaid’s Tale uplift each week – just astonishing figures – with last week’s episode up 425% to 520 000 viewers.

Analysis
Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 program overall last night with 881 000 viewers and a clean sweep in all markets. Seven News (6pm) was #2 with an audience of 868 000, also a clean sweep in all markets. Home and Away (two episodes at 7pm and 7:30pm) was on 457 000, whilst the ‘Late’ episode (8pm) had 399 000. Seven had Kath and Kim episodes with 261 000 for episode 1, 199 000 for episode 2, 177 000 for episode 3 and 142 000 for episode 4. The Latest: Seven News had 100 000 viewers late night.
Nine News was #4 overall with 650 000 viewers with no wins in any market. Nine News 630 was #3 at 686 000. A Current Affair was second in its slot behind ABC News with 544 000 viewers. RBT was on 369 000 and then Paramedics was at 342 000. The second part to Underbelly: Vanishing Act had 128 000.
The Project at 6:30pm had 183 000 viewers, but that figure rose to 282 000 viewers at 7pm. A repeat of Ambulance Australia had 238 000 viewers. The Real Love Boat Australia had 134 000 viewers. 10 has 4 episodes left to screen. An encore of The Cheap Seats had 82 000 viewers.
ABC News had 583 000 with 730 on 468 000. Foreign Correspondent was on 373 000 with Q+A on 253 000. Kurt Fearnley’s One Plus One was on 147 000 viewers.
