Three Women on Stan – Stan today announced that every episode of the brand new series Three Women is now streaming, only on Stan. The series is an adaptation of the internationally best-selling book from acclaimed author and show creator Lisa Taddeo.
Starring Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies), DeWanda Wise (Jurassic World: Dominion), Betty Gilpin (Gaslit) and Gabrielle Creevy (In My Skin), Three Women is an intimate, haunting portrayal of American female desire that finds three women on a crash course to radically overturn their lives.
Lina (Gilpin), a homemaker in suburban Indiana, is a decade into a passionless marriage when she embarks on an affair that quickly becomes all-consuming and transforms her life. Sloane (Wise), a glamorous entrepreneur in the Northeast, has a committed open marriage with Richard (Blair Underwood), until two sexy new strangers threaten their aspirational love story.
Maggie (Creevy), a student in North Dakota, weathers an intense storm after accusing her married English teacher of an inappropriate relationship.
Gia (Woodley), a writer grieving the loss of her family, persuades each of these three spectacular “ordinary” women to tell her their stories, and her relationships with them change the course of her life forever.
Three Women is based on the non-fiction internationally best-selling book of the same name by Taddeo, who adapted it for screen. The book debuted at number one on The New York Times bestseller list where it spent an incredible eleven weeks and captured the attention of celebrity fans, including Reese Witherspoon, Gillian Anderson who called it ‘unlike anything I’d ever read before’1, and Gwyneth Paltrow, who said she ‘literally could not put it down’2.
The series is executive produced by Taddeo, showrunner Laura Eason (House of Cards), Kathy Ciric (Nurse Jackie) and Emmy Rossum (Shameless). Louise Friedberg directed the first two episodes, which she also executive produced.
