Unskilled Adult – 1 November

In the new Stan Original Unskilled Adult, “CEO” Hamish Blake and his “employees” set out to learn new skills. After all, it is never too late – even if they have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

Across eight episodes, Hamish and a revolving workforce of equally underqualified friends tackle challenges none of them are prepared for. Tasks range from welding a trailer to catering a wedding, drywalling a salami shed and sewing costumes for a community theatre.

Stan describes it as a funny and optimistic celebration of having a go. As a result, Hamish and his team jump in at the deep end. They use their wits and lateral thinking to make up for missing years of training and experience.

The employees include Becky Lucas, Hugh van Cuylenburg, Anne Edmonds, Lloyd Langford, Sophie Monk, Dom Littrich, Ryan Shelton, Susie Youssef, Bret McKenzie, Lu Dal Din, Melanie Bracewell, Alexei Toliopoulos, Andy Lee, Jack Post, Guy Montgomery and Abby Howells.

Unskilled Adult premieres with a double episode on 1 November, with new episodes every Sunday.

The Assassin season 2 – 6 November

The estranged mother-and-son duo return to take on the criminal underworld in the Stan Original The Assassin. All episodes of the new season arrive at once on 6 November.

Hitwoman Julie (Keeley Hawes) and Edward (Freddie Highmore) reluctantly team up again. This time, Edward’s dream honeymoon with Kayla (Shalom Brune-Franklin) is hijacked by a mysterious new threat. Plunged back into international crime, kidnapping and high-speed car chases, they must take down Spain’s corrupt underworld to survive. At the same time, they have to repair an already fragile relationship – and hopefully not kill each other first.

They include Arnaud Binard (Emily in Paris), Natalia Tena (the Harry Potter franchise, Game of Thrones), Boris Van Severen (Baptiste, Moresnet) and Jacqueline Boatswain (After the Flood, Bridgerton).

The Institute season 2 – 8 November

From the director of Lost and From comes the new season of The Institute. The chilling thriller brings Stephen King’s novel to the screen. New episodes arrive every Sunday from 8 November.

After their climactic escape from Dennison, Luke and his friends search for a way to end the Institute for good. Meanwhile, The Director enlists a new ally, tech billionaire Nolan Reeves, to help him rebuild. Sigsby’s life as a fugitive, by contrast, pushes her to seek a way back in.

The series follows two sisters who have spent 20 years trying to piece together lives fractured by a single night of violence. When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte – a lawyer like her father – is the first witness on the scene.
