Recap | Big Brother Australia 2026: Pam evicted after surprise party twist on Channel 10 – A day of treats inside the Big Brother Australia house ended with a shock early eviction as Pam became the latest housemate told it was time to go.
The surprise result came after seven housemates were placed at risk and viewers began voting to save their favourites. With six nominees still facing Sunday night’s eviction, Pam’s departure has changed the balance of the house before the week’s main vote is resolved.
The episode reached 853,000 viewers nationally and recorded a Total TV average audience of 453,000, including a BVOD average audience of 100,000. It ranked 23rd for Total People on Tuesday night and 12th among viewers aged 25 to 54.
A red button brings a day of surprises
The housemates woke to find a large red button installed inside the house. Pressing it delivered a run of welcome surprises, including ice cream, a special video call from home and an early birthday party for one of the nominees.
The mood was celebratory while the rewards continued. However, Big Brother had not revealed the button’s final consequence, and the housemates had no warning that the day would end with someone leaving immediately.
Pam receives the least votes to save
Seven housemates had been nominated for eviction during the week. Big Brother then announced that an early eviction would remove the nominee who had received the fewest public votes to save.
Pam was revealed as that housemate. Her exit surprised the group because it arrived before the scheduled Sunday eviction and directly followed a day that had appeared to be built entirely around happy rewards.
Before leaving, Pam thanked the other housemates and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunity.
It’s been a great privilege to be in here… Good luck everyone. Make sure that you win it!

Pam reflects on her shock exit
Once outside the house, Pam described the eviction as a mix of sadness and relief. The 62-year-old South Australian teacher had formed close friendships during her time in the competition, but leaving also meant she could reunite with her family.
It was a melting pot of emotions. So sad to say goodbye to my friends, yet euphoric stepping through the doors as I knew I would now be seeing my family.
Pam, Big Brother Australia 2026 housemate
As the season’s oldest housemate, Pam often tried to mediate disputes and had little patience for behaviour she considered unnecessary. Her approach gave the house a different generational perspective during its early clashes and shifting alliances.
Pam also spoke about representing older women after Harmon mocked her age in his farewell message. She said she wanted to show that older women could take on major challenges and hoped her time in the house would encourage others around Australia.
Six housemates remain at risk
Pam’s early departure does not cancel the week’s scheduled eviction. Six nominated housemates remain at risk, with viewers continuing to vote to save their preferred contestant ahead of Sunday night’s episode.
Big Brother Australia continues Monday to Friday at 7.30pm and Sundays at 7pm on Channel 10. Episodes and the 24-hour live stream are also available through 10.
