2027 Paramount Upfront: Channel 10 reveals its full 2027 slate – Channel 10 has set out a broad 2027 schedule spanning returning reality franchises, new local factual shows, established comedy, news and a major year of live sport. Australian Survivor: Rivals already has a confirmed premiere on Monday 11 January, while the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil will anchor the network’s football coverage.
The scale of the announcement matters for viewers because the slate reaches well beyond one or two flagship franchises. It brings familiar programs back alongside Australian Ninja Warrior, Junior MasterChef Australia, Dogs at Work and new documentary investigations. Channel 10’s free streaming service will extend access to its shows, while some sport and originals will also sit on Paramount+.
Network 10 content executive Tamara Simoneau said the schedule has been designed around large returning formats and new factual entertainment.
We have a 2027 programming slate packed with big, bold, noisy shows.

Returning reality favourites
Big Brother continues from a Brisbane house, with Mel Tracina hosting a longer season built around live nominations and evictions. Paramount says viewers will have 24-hour access and greater power over the game. It is leaning into the immediacy of the format, with public participation rather than a purely edited nightly account of life inside the house.
Big Brother has swapped the Gold Coast for the bright lights of Bris-Vegas, and we’ve hit the jackpot with our housemates already. There’s even more drama than last year’s washer and dryer, and we’re just getting started! The house is open, the season is longer, the crowds are bigger and audiences have more power than ever before. Big Brother is always watching, and so is the nation.

Australian Survivor: Rivals takes two evenly matched tribes to Malaysia for what Channel 10 describes as a global-first theme. Host David Genat will oversee a cast mixing sporting figures, television personalities and everyday Australians. Among the named castaways are Robbie Farah, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Bernard Curry, Lincoln Lewis, Mitch Churi, and twins Alisa and Lysandra Fraser. The season starts Monday 11 January on Channel 10.
We’ve taken sporting heroes, superfans, famous faces and everyday Aussies to a new location in the brutal but beautiful Malaysia, that will push them to their limits and against their ultimate rival. Intense and surprising, Australian Survivor: Rivals is truly a season not to miss!

MasterChef Australia returns with Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Sofia Levin judging the next group of home cooks. The central promise remains the contestants’ development across a demanding series of cooking challenges, ending with a new Australian MasterChef. Andy Allen said he remains surprised by the inventiveness and determination entrants bring into the kitchen each year.
Allen sees the personal growth of the cooks as the continuing appeal of the format, as well as the food. The returning judging panel puts four different perspectives in the kitchen: Allen’s restaurant background, Ling Yeow’s experience as a former contestant, Novelli’s international career and Levin’s work as a food writer. Channel 10 has not identified this season’s entrants in the upfront announcement.
The Traitors Australia also returns. Gretel Killeen will welcome everyday Australians into the manor for a fourth season of deception, banishment and a cash prize. For audiences wanting more of the format, The Traitors US, The Celebrity Traitors UK, The Traitors Canada, The Traitors India and The Traitors New Zealand are among the versions available free through 10’s streaming service.
New shows and fresh versions of familiar formats
Junior MasterChef Australia is coming back to Channel 10 in 2027. Poh Ling Yeow will be joined by special guest Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, as young cooks take on the kitchen. Casting is open for children with cooking ambitions. Meghan said she enjoyed working with the MasterChef team earlier in 2026 and welcomed the chance to return for the junior series. Poh said viewers regularly ask whether the format will come back.
I’m thrilled to bits that Junior MasterChef is returning to our screens. People often ask me whether it might come back, so I know the news will be met with plenty of excitement.
Poh Ling Yeow, Junior MasterChef Australia
Australian Ninja Warrior is receiving a new course and a new hosting line-up. Robert Irwin, Georgie Tunny and Beau Ryan will front the competition as a new generation of contestants attempts its physical obstacles. For Irwin, it is a chance to join a series he watched while growing up; the emphasis, he said, is on competitors pushing their limits through courage and determination.
I’m thrilled to be joining Australian Ninja Warrior as host, and usher in a new age for this legendary show. I grew up as a fan of Ninja Warrior as it celebrates courage, determination and people who push their limits to discover what they’re truly capable of.
Robert Irwin, Australian Ninja Warrior host
Aussie Auctions takes viewers inside property sales. Made by the producers of Grand Designs Australia and Luxe Listings Sydney, the new format follows hopeful buyers, homeowners selling and the agents and experts who bring properties under the hammer. The show is positioned around the uncertainty of a live auction as much as the houses themselves.
Wendy Moore hosts Extraordinary Homes Australia, travelling from coastal properties to bush and cliffside homes and smaller off-grid builds. The series is interested in how each home’s setting shaped its design, as well as the people who planned and built it. Moore said the personal stories, mistakes and memories behind the homes were as interesting as the final results.
I love the stories behind homes, the people, the planning, the mistakes and the memories. Being invited beyond the front doors of some of Australia’s most extraordinary homes and meeting the people who dreamt them, built them and love them, has been a dream.
Wendy Moore, Extraordinary Homes Australia host
Dogs at Work follows working dogs and their handlers, with Melanie Zanetti narrating. The jobs range from truffle hunting and chasing seagulls away from food to detecting invasive species and protecting state borders. The series promises a look at the animals’ day-to-day work, including Sidney, a professional seagull chaser.
True-crime documentaries on Channel 10
Investigative journalist Denham Hitchcock is bringing two documentary specials to the network. The Falconio Witness revisits Peter Falconio’s outback murder 25 years later. It presents conflicting accounts from original investigators and an account from a witness who says he saw events unfold at the scene. The claims and evidence will be part of the program’s examination, not conclusions TV Central can establish independently ahead of broadcast.
The Hunt for Hamish examines serial conman Hamish McLaren after his release from prison following a nine-year sentence. Hitchcock looks at whether he is repeating past behaviour, including his activity on dating apps. The two specials make investigative factual programming a distinct part of Channel 10’s 2027 slate.
When it comes to history, every lie is a crack in the foundation we all stand on. And both of these documentaries challenge what we’ve thought for so long to be the truth.
Denham Hitchcock, investigative journalist
Football, Formula 1 and MotoGP
The FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 is Channel 10’s biggest announced football event. The Matildas’ campaign will be part of coverage across Channel 10 and Paramount+, with every tournament match available live on Paramount+. The broadcaster will also continue its A-League Men and Ninja A-League coverage, plus Socceroos and Matildas matches.
Motorsport adds two significant Australian events. The MotoGP Grand Prix of Australia moves to an Adelaide street circuit for the first time, while the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix returns to Albert Park with Australia’s first Formula 1 Sprint Race. Together with football, these events give the network major live appointments throughout the year rather than a single sport season.
What a massive year of sport we’ve got ahead! The FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ is going to be an absolute blockbuster – especially with it hitting South American soil for the first time.

Comedy and entertainment returning in 2027
Have You Been Paying Attention? returns with Tom Gleisner, Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang. The Cheap Seats also continues, with Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald looking back at news and popular culture. Sam Pang Tonight is into its third season of celebrity interviews, sketches and the Wheel of Segments. These three programs remain central to Channel 10’s comedy identity.
Tom Gleisner expects Have You Been Paying Attention? to reach its 15th series in 2027. Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald likewise confirmed another year of The Cheap Seats, joking about the stories ahead, from the Women’s World Cup to international politics. Pang’s late-night show continues to build a different space for interviews and sketches, while the news quiz and weekly commentary show keep their established formats.
Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening is returning with Micallef and his son Gabe hosting the game show for well-known Australians and their relatives. Taskmaster Australia reaches season six, with Charlie Pickering, Frankie McNair, Shane Jacobson, Tom Walker and Urzila Carlson facing tasks set by Tom Gleeson and Tom Cashman. Gogglebox Australia reaches its 25th season.
Graham Norton remains on Channel 10 in two forms: The Graham Norton Show and Wheel of Fortune Australia, where the prize can reach $50,000. Grant Denyer returns to Deal or No Deal with the briefcases and the Banker. Rebecca Gibney is back on Millionaire Hot Seat, with the million-dollar top prize still in play.
I’m thrilled to be back on Channel 10. When I was in Australia last year it was a real thrill to discover first-hand how much Australian audiences enjoy the show. Now they get to see me with a big wheel on Wheel of Fortune as well as the big red chair on my own show.
Graham Norton, television host
Beyond the established studio shows, Sydney Harbour Cops continues its first season. Selling Houses Australia and Love It or List It Australia return. The Animal Sanctuary is a new series following Tasmania’s Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and its work with vulnerable Australian animals.
News across the day
Channel 10 will continue its Lunchtime bulletin, local 5pm weekday news, national weekend news and 10 Late News. The Sunday 6.30pm program 10 News+ remains in the line-up for stories that go beyond the daily headlines. The network’s news commitment is part of the wider 2027 announcement, alongside reality, comedy, factual programming and sport.
Tamara Simoneau, Network 10’s vice-president of content, described the slate as a mix of returning favourites, new entertainment and live events. Her announcement made clear that 2027 is a year in which Channel 10 intends to compete on several fronts: big unscripted formats, recognisable comedy brands and the appointment viewing of football and motorsport.
