Tonight | Interview with the Vampire on SBS 2: Louis learns the rules of Lestat’s world – Louis begins life as a vampire and discovers that his maker Lestat has expectations he may not share. It airs Saturday 17 October 2026 at 11.55pm on SBS 2 and SBS On Demand.
The second episode moves beyond the transformation itself, testing whether Louis and Lestat can live by the same rules.
Season 1 episode 2
Lestat teaches Louis the practices of vampirism, but differences between them become more apparent as Louis adjusts to his new existence.
In the later Dubai interview, Louis reveals more of his modern-day vampire life to journalist Daniel Molloy. The present-day account adds detail to the history being told.
The episode follows directly after the season premiere at 11.55pm on SBS 2. It continues the adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel, with Jacob Anderson as Louis and Sam Reid as Lestat.
