Tonight | The Jury: Skeleton in the Garden on SBS: the verdict reveals a final twist – The jurors reach a decision in the concluding episode of The Jury: Skeleton in the Garden, but the trial story does not end at the verdict. It airs Tuesday 13 October 2026 at 7.30pm on SBS and SBS On Demand.

The finale asks viewers to consider the difference between a legal decision made from the evidence presented and a fuller account of what happened.

Episode 5 finale

After a tense deadlock, twelve everyday Australians must decide whether a defendant is guilty in a restaged real manslaughter case. Actors have recreated the trial using the original court transcripts.

The woman’s remains were discovered in the defendant’s former backyard ten years after she vanished. The jury has had to weigh that fact without a confirmed time, location, cause or motive of death.

When the verdict is delivered, a final revelation upends what the jurors believe about the case. The programme asks whether a system can deliver justice when its decision is based on only part of the truth, without disclosing the twist ahead of broadcast.

The Jury: Skeleton in the Garden Episode 5 finale airs Tuesday 13 October 2026 at 7.30pm on SBS and SBS On Demand.
