Tonight | Bill Bailey’s Korea on SBS: Seoul opens a musical journey across South Korea – Bill Bailey begins a six-part journey through South Korea in Seoul, exploring the cultural wave that has carried the country around the world. It airs Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 7.35pm on SBS and SBS On Demand.

The travel series gives Bailey a musical task as well as a route: he gathers sounds on the road for a song to perform in its final episode.

Episode 1: Seoul

On the Han River, Bailey looks at the K Wave through music, fashion and beauty. His itinerary mixes contemporary pop culture with older rituals and places.

He tries a salmon sperm beauty treatment and strips for a traditional Korean spa visit. The episode also puts him on stage for a Valentine’s Day performance, second on the bill to a punk band and female wrestlers.

Across the series he will visit settings ranging from a Buddhist retreat to a K-pop academy. Seoul is the first stop in that wider exploration of a country that has long fascinated him.
