Tonight | Dustfall on ABC: Tig arrests Simon, but the evidence falls short – Dustfall reaches a turning point tonight as an arrest is finally made. However, the case against Simon is far from closed. Episode four airs at 8.20pm on ABC and ABC iview.

It is episode four of six, and the investigation into Edie’s disappearance is now focused firmly on one man. To beat Simon’s power games, Tig and Remi must walk a delicate tightrope.

They need enough evidence to charge him. Without it, their suspect could walk free.

Simon’s story does not add up

Tig arrests Simon, but his account of the night Edie disappeared is riddled with inconsistencies. Even so, he denies any involvement.

Then Ronnie makes a painful disclosure. She confides that she was previously hospitalised after being sexually assaulted by Simon. She also reveals that forensic evidence may still exist.

A setback for Dustfall’s detectives

Despite mounting suspicions, a gap in the evidence forces Tig to release Simon. As a result, Ronnie is left terrified.

The following morning, Ronnie flees. Still, she agrees to help police by giving them access to her forensic samples.

Meanwhile, Talia uncovers a similar cold case. At the same time, Tig is confronted by painful truths from her own past, so the pressure on her is both professional and personal.

With two episodes left after tonight, the detectives are running out of time. They need a breakthrough that will stand up in court, and Ronnie’s evidence may be their best chance.
