I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Channel 7: Jim Jefferies joins Ricki-Lee on Nova – Jim Jefferies joined Ricki-Lee on Nova 96.9 Sydney’s Ricki-Lee & Tim after the pair were named the new hosts of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Channel 7 in 2027. Earlier in the programme, former host Julia Morris offered Ricki-Lee a warm handover.
The interviews put voices to Channel 7’s newly announced hosting change. Rather than another casting announcement, listeners hear how Jefferies and Ricki-Lee kept the news quiet, what they expect from the South African jungle and how Morris feels about passing on a role she helped define. Both Nova audio clips are embedded below.
Jefferies said he and Ricki-Lee had been keeping the appointment secret for some time. Once the news broke, he checked his social media and saw a message telling him he would never be Julia Morris. His answer was characteristically quick: “You don’t know that!”

On Ricki-Lee & Tim, the incoming co-hosts discussed heat training, snakes and the wildlife they could encounter during filming in South Africa. Ricki-Lee admitted that Morris’s description of jungle animals had made her nervous.
Jefferies contrasted his own outdoor skills with those of Robert Irwin, who hosted alongside Morris, and joked about his survival plan.
I’ll probably throw you in front of a snake and run away and use you as a decoy!

Julia Morris passes the baton to Ricki-Lee
Morris joined the Nova programme separately earlier in the morning. She offered her blessing to Ricki-Lee and joked that she would now be the “Queen mother” of the jungle. The two also spoke about catching up privately so Morris could pass on more of what she learned from the show.
Morris described the handover in affectionate terms.
The Queens do step aside…now I’m the Queen mother of ‘Le Junge’…so to be handing over the ceremonial knobkerrie to you, my darling, is a pleasure of note!

She also told Ricki-Lee that the hosting role was the job of a lifetime and a great deal of fun. It is an unusually direct endorsement from the person whose on-screen partnership viewers will most naturally compare with the new pairing.
