2027 Channel 7 Upfront: I’m a Celebrity hosts Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies revealed – Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies will host I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! when the reality series moves to Channel 7 and 7plus in 2027.

The announcement answers the biggest on-screen question about the show’s move: the new hosts are a music and breakfast-radio personality familiar to Australian Idol viewers, and a comedian already associated with Seven through The 1% Club Australia. Channel 7 has not yet named the celebrities entering camp or a premiere date.

The season will again be set in the South African jungle. Celebrities will face trials, camp tensions and moments of personal reflection while competing to be named King or Queen of the Jungle. Seven says there will be fresh twists and series firsts, although it has not detailed those changes.

Ricki-Lee heads to the jungle

Ricki-Lee is a multi-platinum-selling, ARIA-nominated recording artist who has worked on Australian Idol and Nova 96.9 Breakfast. She said the chance to host a show she has watched for years felt like a significant new step.

I couldn’t be more excited to be heading to Africa for the very first time to host one of the most iconic shows in the world. I’m such a massive fan and it’s a huge honour. And to be doing it alongside the incredible Jim Jefferies makes it even better!

Ricki-Lee joked that she would now see the challenges close up, while keeping a comfortable distance from whatever the celebrity contestants are asked to do.

Jim Jefferies joins her on Channel 7

Australian comedian Jim Jefferies will share hosting duties. He is known internationally for stand-up comedy and to Channel 7 viewers as host of The 1% Club Australia. The network is positioning the contrast between the two performers as a key part of its new version of the format.

When Seven asked if I’d like to spend weeks in the African jungle watching celebrities eat strange things and embarrass themselves on national television, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. It sounds like my ideal holiday. And who better to go into the wild with than Ricki-Lee. I can’t wait!

Seven’s Director of Content, Unscripted, Majella Hay, said the pairing should give the familiar format a different energy.

Individually, Ricki-Lee and Jim couldn’t be more different but that’s exactly what makes this pairing so exciting. Together, they’ll bring a fresh, unexpected energy to the jungle that Australians are going to love!

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was created by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, which distributes the format internationally. ITV Studios Australia will produce the new Australian season for Channel 7. That means the series keeps its established production and international format foundations even as the Australian broadcast home and hosting team change.
