2027 Channel 7 Upfront: Seven Network reveals full 2027 slate – A new home for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Matt Shirvington’s game show Stacks of Cash, returning Australian favourites, an extensive sport calendar and an expanded 7plus line-up form Channel 7’s plan for 2027.
The slate covers more than a single launch. It sets out what viewers will find on Channel 7, 7two, 7flix, 7mate, 7Bravo and 7plus, while spelling out the network’s priorities in news, entertainment and live sport. The most immediate change for audiences is the arrival of I’m a Celebrity with Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies as hosts; the largest new home-grown format is Stacks of Cash.
Seven is presenting the announcement against its claimed 2026 audience lead. It says it holds a 43.2% commercial total-TV share and that Home and Away averaged 1.1 million viewers, up 13% year on year. Those are Seven’s figures, rather than a promise about how individual programmes will perform next year.
New entertainment for Channel 7 in 2027
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! moves to Channel 7 and 7plus in 2027. Recording artist and Australian Idol presenter Ricki-Lee will host with comedian Jim Jefferies. Seven viewers also know Jefferies from The 1% Club Australia. The South African jungle format retains celebrity trials, camp relationships and competition, with Seven promising new twists. A premiere date and the celebrity cast have not yet been announced.
Stacks of Cash puts Sunrise co-host Matt Shirvington in prime time. Developed by Eureka Studios and Seven, the high-stakes game show turns stacking challenges into family play-along entertainment. It is a new programme rather than a 7plus-only commission: Channel 7 is its broadcast home.
Shane Jacobson will host another new quiz format, Caught in the Middle. A duo stands inside a giant LED arena and tries to outsmart 100 opponents across 15 questions. Seven has not yet given either new game show a transmission date.

Seven’s factual newcomers include Bear Grylls is Running Wild, featuring Matthew McConaughey, Colman Domingo and Uma Thurman. Parky is a feature-length documentary portrait of Michael Parkinson. Neale Whitaker’s Forever Home follows Whitaker and David Novak-Piper as they restore a heritage-listed cottage on the New South Wales south coast. Moving Houses follows homes relocated to new sites. Andrew Lincoln narrates the natural-history series Force of Nature. Meanwhile, Dr Chris Brown takes well-known Australians on wildlife journeys in Once In A Lifetime.

Returning hits and the rest of 2026
My Kitchen Rules, Australian Idol, Farmer Wants A Wife and Home and Away remain central to Seven’s schedule. In 2027, country singer Morgan Evans joins Marcia Hines and Amy Shark on the Australian Idol judging panel. Seven reports year-on-year growth of 22% for My Kitchen Rules, 24% for Farmer Wants A Wife and 17% for The Voice; it says Australian Idol streaming rose 74% on 7plus.
Returning entertainment includes The 1% Club Australia, The 1% Club UK and The Chase Australia. Its prime-time companion Larry & Friends also returns, as does Glenn & Mick’s Celebrity Intervention. Lifestyle and factual staples include Better Homes and Gardens, Border Security and Highway Patrol. The list also includes Off The Grid with Colin and Manu, Ooops! I Bought A Pub and 24 Hours in Police Custody. Air Crash Investigations and Ambulance: Code Red return too.
Before the new year, Seven says the current My Kitchen Rules and Home and Away seasons will build to December finales. Its late-2026 line-up also includes the second season of The Hunting Party, The Front Bar Year in Review, The Front Bar Cricket Special, Live It Up: The Mental as Anything Story, new Mrs Brown’s Boys episodes and Christmas House Wars.

Cricket, AFL and a year-round sport schedule
Channel 7 and 7plus will continue to build their live-sport schedule around AFL, cricket and major events. The present Rugby League World Cup continues through 15 November, with Seven saying every men’s, women’s and wheelchair match is live, free and exclusive across its platforms. The summer then brings the WBBL, BBL, Australia’s men’s Tests against New Zealand and the women’s ODI series against New Zealand in March.
Brendon “Baz” McCullum returns to Seven’s cricket commentary for the Australia-New Zealand Test series. It begins in Perth on Wednesday 9 December 2026. He also joins Triple M’s coverage. Ricky Ponting is a new Triple M cricket signing alongside his television work. Stuart Broad returns to Seven’s commentary team for the 150th-anniversary Australia-England Test at the MCG. That match begins on Thursday 11 March 2027.
7NEWS sport reporter Xander McGuire and former Australian cricketer Will Pucovski will front a new analysis programme, The Agenda Setters: Cricket. Justin Langer will contribute regularly. The Front Bar: Cricket Edition is also scheduled to return. The T20 Gold Clash: Footy vs Cricket takes place on 22 November. Figures from cricket, AFL and NRL will be involved.

AFL, NFL and major events
In 2027, Seven’s AFL coverage will continue alongside its weekly football programmes. The Front Bar, Unfiltered and the AFL and rugby league editions of The Agenda Setters remain part of the sports-entertainment mix. NFL Tailgate also returns with Ben Graham and Cam Luke. Seven says the 2026 AFL Grand Final reached 6.5 million Australians and set a 7plus live-streaming record of 1.42 million viewers.
Beyond football and cricket, Seven lists Supercars and the Bathurst 1000, horse racing and the NFL. Its schedule also includes the World Surf League, the Santos Tour Down Under and international cycling. The Tour Down Under remains on Seven under a multi-year extension. Men’s and women’s race coverage will run across Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus. Seven is also planning live and free coverage of Super Bowl LXI in February 2027.

News, breakfast television and local bulletins
7NEWS, 7NEWS Spotlight, Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise and The Morning Show remain the pillars of Seven’s news and current-affairs line-up. The network says its 6pm news reaches 9.8 million people monthly and that its 14 regional local bulletins across Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania and Western Australia are watched by more than 250,000 people nightly. It also provides updates in ten further regional markets.
Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington continue on Sunrise; Monique Wright and David Woiwod front Weekend Sunrise; and Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies continue The Morning Show. Seven says the latter reaches its 20th anniversary year in 2027. Its audience comparisons and leadership claims are the broadcaster’s own figures.

What is coming to 7mate, 7two, 7flix and 7Bravo?
On 7mate, Seven has listed Outback Truckers, Aussie Gold Hunters and Salvage Rescue Down Under. Outback Crystal Hunters, Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit and Gem Hunters Down Under also return. Acquired series include Caught On Dashcam, Pawn Stars, Pawn Stars Do America and American Pickers.

The wider line-up includes more Real Housewives, Below Deck, The Valley, Southern Charm, Summer House, Made in Chelsea and Snapped.
7plus First and streaming growth

Seven’s Director of 7plus Content and Strategy, Andrew Green, said the streaming service is carrying larger audiences across entertainment, news and sport.
