Wicker release date moves forward as Roadshow reveals new key art – Roadshow Films has moved Wicker forward on the Australian and New Zealand release calendar, with the Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgard, Elizabeth Debicki and Peter Dinklage film now set to open in cinemas on 5 November 2026.
The date shift keeps the offbeat seaside story in the Australian cinema conversation after its local festival profile, with the new key art and trailer giving audiences a clearer sense of the film’s strange mix of folk tale, comedy and romantic unease.
Set in a seaside village lost to time, Wicker follows a fisherwoman played by Colman, whose food keeps the townspeople alive even as they barely tolerate her. When she is unexpectedly named next to be wed, she commissions the local Basketmaker, played by Dinklage, to weave her an ideal husband, played by Skarsgard.

A Strange Village Romance
As the woven husband enters the village, jealousies and rivalries begin to flare. The film brings together a cast that also includes Elizabeth Debicki, with the release positioning Wicker as a distinctive genre-blending cinema title for late 2026.
Creative Team
Wicker is directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston Fischer. The Australian release is being handled by Roadshow Films.
The film stars Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgard, Elizabeth Debicki and Peter Dinklage, with additional cast including Richard E. Grant and Ella Bruccoleri.
