ROSEBUSH PRUNING SETS MUBI STREAMING DATE FOR AUGUST
MUBI has confirmed that Rosebush Pruning will stream exclusively on the platform from Friday 21 August 2026.
The film gives Australian streaming audiences another high-profile international drama on MUBI, with a cast led by Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell, Lukas Gage, Elena Anaya, Tracy Letts and Pamela Anderson.
Rosebush Pruning is the latest feature from director Karim Aïnouz, whose recent credits include Motel Destino, Firebrand and Invisible Life. The screenplay is written by Oscar-nominated writer Efthimis Filippou.
About Rosebush Pruning
The film follows a wealthy white American family living in hedonistic isolation under the Catalonian sun. When an outsider enters the household, long-buried tensions begin to surface.
MUBI describes the story as a biting satire on the absurdity of the patriarchal family. As loyalties shift and pressure builds, the ties that hold the family together begin to break.
Cast And Creative Team
The ensemble brings together Turner, Keough, Fanning, Bell, Gage, Anaya, Letts and Anderson for a darkly comic story about power, privilege and family dysfunction.
Aïnouz directs from Filippou’s screenplay, continuing a run of films that have moved between intimate character drama and sharply observed social conflict.
