Blade Runner 2099 reveals premiere date and teaser trailer – Prime Video has unveiled the teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2099, with all eight episodes set to premiere globally on 25 November 2026.
The limited series from Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group was showcased at San Diego Comic-Con, where stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer appeared with showrunner Silka Luisa and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.
For Australian streaming audiences, the series is a major Prime Video sci-fi play for late 2026. It also extends one of cinema’s most recognisable futures into a new television chapter, arriving 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049.

What Blade Runner 2099 is about
In the series, Los Angeles has been reborn, but not by humanity. Cora, a fugitive trying to stop running, takes on one last identity as a Blade Runner.
She is forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant days from dying. Together, they hunt a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city.
Cast and creative team
Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben are series regulars alongside Yeoh and Schafer. The recurring guest cast includes Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi.
Silka Luisa serves as showrunner and executive producer. Ridley Scott, Alcon Entertainment’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, and Scott Free Productions’ David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger are among the executive producers.
Jonathan van Tulleken is an executive producer and directed the first two episodes.
