Best of the Best trailer: Netflix sets September premiere for Bollywood-fusion dance comedy – Netflix has released the Best of the Best trailer and key art ahead of the film’s Thursday, 18 September premiere.
The film gives Netflix a youth-focused comedy built around friendship, campus life and competitive Bollywood-fusion dance. For Australian viewers, it also brings together a cast led by Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Priyanka Kedia and Hasan Minhaj.
Best of the Best follows childhood best friends Maya and Anjali as they join UCLA’s competitive Bollywood-fusion dance team. Their path to the U.S. Championship quickly becomes more chaotic and cutthroat than they expected.
The trailer leans into the pressure of competition, the energy of the dance floor and the friendship at the centre of the story. It also positions the film as a broad coming-of-age comedy rather than only a sports-style dance movie.
