The Land trailer reveals Disney+ NFL family drama ahead of February premiere – Disney+ has released the trailer for Dan Fogelman’s new drama The Land, confirming its Australian premiere for Monday, 15 February 2027.

The series will launch with two episodes on Disney+ in Australia, followed by new episodes each Monday. It streams on Hulu in the United States, but the Australian viewing destination is Disney+. The trailer gives viewers their first moving look at a story built around the Cleveland Browns and two families whose decisions could reshape the franchise.

Australian actor Sam Corlett is among a cast led by Christopher Meloni and Mandy Moore. For local audiences, this is a scripted drama set inside an NFL club, not a live football broadcast. It follows TV Central’s earlier first look at the characters and the team’s world.

What is The Land about?

Meloni plays Danny Roarke, the Browns’ head coach. After several disappointing seasons, he has one final chance to deliver a winning campaign. His prospects now rest heavily on a newly drafted quarterback from Ohio State, who is also his son.

At the same time, owner Hal Durkin must choose which of his two daughters is best placed to take over the team. The contest for succession brings another family into the club’s future. The pressure extends from the field to the front office as supporters demand results.

That dual-family premise gives the series more than a sports setting: the father-son relationship and the ownership decision each carry consequences for the Browns. The trailer is embedded below.

Cast, creators and Australian release

The ensemble also features Chace Crawford, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, William H. Macy and Omar Epps. Fogelman, whose television credits include This Is Us and Paradise, created The Land. He serves as showrunner and executive producer.

Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls and Justin Adler also executive produce. David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold and Jason T. Reed are executive producers for Skydance Sports. The series is a production of 20th Television and Skydance Sports.

Disney+ has confirmed the 15 February date and the two-episode debut but has not supplied an Australian release time. The Monday weekly schedule will continue after the premiere.
