The Land first-look images reveal Disney+ NFL family drama – Disney+ has unveiled images from Dan Fogelman’s new series about a Cleveland Browns coach, a rookie quarterback and the family that owns the team.
The Land premieres on Disney+ internationally on 15 February 2027, with two episodes at launch and new episodes weekly on Mondays. In the United States it will stream on Hulu, but Disney+ is the relevant Australian destination.
For local viewers, the cast includes Australian actor Sam Corlett alongside Christopher Meloni and Mandy Moore. The first look also makes clear that this is a scripted family drama set around an NFL franchise, not live Browns coverage or an Australian sports-rights announcement.
What is The Land about?
Meloni plays Danny Roarke, the Browns’ head coach, who has one last opportunity to turn the team around after several disappointing seasons. Much of his hope rests on a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback who is also his son.
Meanwhile, team owner Hal Durkin must decide which of his two daughters should succeed him. The result is a story about two families whose conflicts unfold both on the field and in the front office, under pressure from a fanbase that wants a winning season.
The photographs show the football setting and the relationships that will drive the series. One image centres Meloni’s coach on the sideline; others place the characters in team offices, meetings and family conversations. Those scenes suggest the show will give the Browns’ internal decisions as much attention as game-day action.
Cast and creative team
Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, William H. Macy and Omar Epps star. Fogelman, whose credits include This Is Us and Paradise, created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls and Justin Adler also executive produce. David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold and Jason T. Reed executive produce for Skydance Sports. The Land is a 20th Television and Skydance Sports production.
Disney+ has not announced an Australian release time for the first two episodes. The confirmed information is the 15 February premiere date and Monday weekly rollout; viewers should check the service closer to launch for the precise local drop time.
