Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu streams on Disney+ from September 2 – Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu will stream exclusively on Disney+ from Wednesday 2 September.
The film will arrive with two companion titles. Disney+ will also debut Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast and the animated special LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
For TV Central readers, September 2 becomes a full Star Wars event on Disney+. The launch brings together the new adventure, a behind-the-scenes podcast and a family-focused LEGO retelling.
Din Djarin And Grogu Return
The standalone adventure follows Din Djarin and Grogu after the fall of the Empire. Imperial warlords remain scattered across the galaxy, and the New Republic is trying to protect what the Rebellion fought for.
As the fight continues, Din Djarin and Grogu are enlisted for a new mission.
The film stars Pedro Pascal. Sigourney Weaver joins the cast, while Martin Scorsese and Jeremy Allen White lend their voices. Jon Favreau directs the film from a screenplay by Favreau, Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor.
Official Podcast Launches With Two Episodes
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast will launch on Disney+ on September 2 with two episodes. The episodes are titled Growing Up and Bigger & Different.
The podcast goes behind the scenes of the feature. Guests include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Ludwig Goransson, Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver and Grogu.
LEGO Star Wars Special Also Debuts
LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian will also debut exclusively on Disney+ on September 2. The animated special offers a comedic retelling of all three seasons of The Mandalorian.
The special is directed by Chris Buckley and written by Michael Price. It gives viewers a lighter take on Din Djarin and Grogu’s story.
