FX’s Adults is heading back to Disney+ for a second season, with the comedy returning in Australia on Friday, 28 August.
Disney+ has released the official trailer and key art for the new season, which will launch with all eight episodes available to stream at premiere.
The return gives Disney+ another young adult-skewing comedy for its August slate, while also giving Australian viewers a chance to catch up on the first season and the special prequel episode Marathon Day before the new episodes arrive.
The Adulting Continues
Adults follows a group of twenty-somethings in New York as they try to build lives around love, work, friendship and family.
The friends are still crashing together in Samir’s childhood home. Season two sees Samir, played by Malik Elassal, Billie, played by Lucy Freyer, Paul Baker, played by Jack Innanen, Issa, played by Amita Rao, and Anton, played by Owen Thiele, facing new growing pains.
The new episodes ask whether your fake ID successor can be cooler than you, what it means when you love a boring office job, and why going home can send you straight back to old family roles.
As their lives shift, the group keeps trying to show up for each other, even when they are making mistakes they probably should have seen coming.
Season Two Guests
The second season also features guest appearances from Susie Essman, Raven-Symoné, Gaten Matarazzo, Jake Shane, Isaac Powell, Ben Marshall, Zosia Mamet and more.
Adults is created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw. The executive producers are Kronengold, Shaw, Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, Alicia Van Couvering and Rob Rosell.
The series is produced by FX Productions.
FX’s Adults season two premieres Friday, 28 August on Disney+.
