Chad Powers returns for season two on Disney+ – Disney+ has released first-look images from season two of the Hulu Original comedy series Chad Powers, starring Glen Powell.
The second season premieres Thursday 3 September on Disney+ in Australia, with all six episodes available at launch.
For Australian streaming viewers, the return gives Disney+ another locally available Hulu Original built around a recognisable star, with Powell continuing the sports-comedy role he co-created for television.
Chad Powers Season Two
In season two, Chad Powers is a superstar on the field. Away from the game, his odd behaviour has everyone suspicious.
Coach Hudson and Gerry are watching closely. The walls are also closing in on Russ’s lie.
If Russ and Danny want Chad to survive the regular season and lead the South Georgia Catfish to the College Football Playoff, they need help from the last person who wants to give it: Ricky.
Cast And Creative Team
The series stars Glen Powell as Russ Holliday and Chad Powers, with Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia Yeager, Frankie Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Coach Jake Hudson.
Chad Powers is based on the Eli’s Places segment from ESPN and Omaha Productions. The half-hour comedy is from co-creators Powell and Michael Waldron.
Eli Manning serves as executive producer in season two, alongside Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz and Ben Brown, and ESPN’s Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart and Craig Lazarus.
Powell also executive produces with Dan Cohen under Barnstorm Productions. Waldron and Adam Fasullo executive produce for Anomaly Pictures, with Luvh Rakhe also serving as executive producer.
