The Hardacres season 2
The Hardacres returns on 1 October with six new episodes. The period drama follows the working-class family after its rise into Yorkshire’s elite.
The story resumes in 1895 at Hardacre Hall. Wealth has transformed the family’s circumstances, but it has not removed the social barriers around them.
A new neighbour creates the season’s central rivalry. Lady Imelda Hansen, played by Michele Dotrice, arrives as a powerful figure within high society. New alliances, romances and conflicts then test the Hardacres’ place in their adopted world.
Liam McMahon, Claire Cooper, Shannon Lavelle, Adam Little and Zak Ford-Williams return to the ensemble. The first season was shortlisted for Best New Drama at the 2026 TV Choice Awards.
Would I Lie To You? season 18

Patience’s gift for deduction attracts the attention of DI Bea Metcalf, played by Laura Fraser. Bea invites her to join the investigative team, creating an unlikely partnership across a series of complex murders around York.
Mark Benton, Nathan Welsh and Ali Ariaie also star in the six-part psychological crime drama. The release cites an 85 per cent Rotten Tomatoes score for the first season.
A Royal Residence
A Royal Residence opens the doors to three historic British homes from 19 October. Each episode visits a different property and examines its traditions, secrets and royal connections.
The locations include Princess Diana’s family home, Queen Elizabeth I’s childhood estate and the Queen Mother’s ancestral castle. The three-part docuseries uses those estates to connect architectural history with the families who lived there.
Miriam & Alan: Lost in Scotland season 2
Miriam Margolyes and Alan Cumming return to the road on 23 October. Their second four-part journey follows the pair through Scotland’s landscapes, landmarks and family histories.
The new season follows the BAFTA Scotland Award-winning first series. Margolyes and Cumming reconnect with old friends and revisit places that shaped their lives, combining travel, memory and personal discovery.
The Great Pottery Throw Down season 6
