The Great Australian Bake Off season nine returns to Foxtel and BINGE on Tuesday 11 August at 8.30pm AEST.
The Foxtel Original series is back with 12 new home bakers. Across 10 weeks, they will face 30 challenges in the Bake Off shed.
This season will again test skill, creativity and nerve. At the end, one baker will be named Australia’s Best Amateur Baker.
The Great Australian Bake Off Season Nine Judges
Rachel Khoo and Darren Purchese return as judges. They will again be joined by hosts Natalie Tran and Tom Walker.
Darren Purchese said the new season features some of the most extraordinary bakes the show has seen.
“The talent in the shed this year is phenomenal,” Purchese said. “Viewers are in for a real treat.”
Rachel Khoo said the season has something for long-time fans and new viewers.
“It’s full of heart, delectable sweet and savoury creations and it’s not to be missed,” Khoo said.
Meet The Season Nine Bakers
The 12 bakers entering the shed are:
- Anita Birdi, 54, medical receptionist
- Branden Khou, 29, financial client manager
- Glenn Jones, 51, IT project manager
- Jacob Amarant, 33, marketing lead
- Lucy Barnes, 44, bookkeeper
- Matt Perillo-Phipps, 44, emergency nurse
- Melanie Clements, 62, jewellery sales manager
- Negin Yaghmaie, 30, MRI scientist
- Nick Cerchiara, 30, warehouse manager
- Pamela Buchanan, 41, stay-at-home mum
- Peter Kennedy-Gane, 60, retired alpaca farmer
- Sherrett Bone, 42, finance officer
What To Expect This Season
Season nine will include signature challenges, technical bakes and ambitious showstoppers.
Foxtel says viewers can expect mythology-inspired filo creations and floating biscuit boats. There will also be edible remote control vehicle cakes.
In addition, Great Outdoors Week will feature bakes inspired by campfire classics.
