Former UFC superstar Tyson Pedro will make his long-awaited boxing debut as he faces undefeated Pakistani sensation Taimoor Khan next Wednesday at Nowhere to Run.
Having announced this week that he has teamed up with Australian boxing legend Jeff Fenech, Pedro will face off with Khan for the WBC International Bridgerweight title, with the victor holding a serious claim for a future shot at the WBC World Bridgerweight belt.
At 15-0 with 13 KO’s, the 28-year-old Khan, dubbed ‘Diamond Boy’, offers a serious threat to Pedro’s boxing debut and world title aspirations. After Pedro’s previous opponent Kris Terzievski fled on the day of their scheduled fight last November, this time there will be Nowhere to Run.
Also on the card will be Aussie boxing superstars in Jackson Jon England [17-3] and Alex Leapai Jr [4-0], with the hulking 19-year-old looking to remain perfect as he looks to replicate his famous father’s boxing legacy.
