UEFA Champions League on Stan Sport – The world’s greatest club football competition is back on Stan Sport, as the UEFA Champions League kicks off for the 2023/2024 season Wednesday from 2:40am AEST.
Coverage of select matches will be broadcast in 4K UHD on Stan Sport, hosted by Max Rushden alongside former Manchester United great Mark Bosnich, and former Socceroo star Craig Foster to break down all the action.
2023 champions Manchester City will be looking to continue their hot streak in an epic year that saw them win not only the UCL trophy but also the English Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Super Cup trophies as well.
Their eternal rivals Manchester United make their return to the top tier competition after playing in the UEFA Europa League last season, while fellow English fan favourites Arsenal also make a triumphant return to UCL, qualifying after missing out on the last six seasons.
Fans of Newcastle United will also be elated, with their team making their return to the UEFA Champions League after almost twenty years of heartache.
Meanwhile, European giants Bayern Munich, have been bolstered by the recent signing of star Harry Kane, who they hope can get them further than their Quarter-Finals finish last season.
Also returning are the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League competitions which will run concurrently to the UEFA Champions League.

The summer transfer window sees them further strengthen their side with arguably one of England’s greatest ever goal scorers, Harry Kane, who they snatched from under Manchester United’s nose.
The latter are back in the top tier competition, but plagued with off-field drama, and are looking to silence their critics by knocking over one of the heavyweight favourites to win the title.

Old greats Ajax and Marseille come head to head in a thrilling game to open the UEFA Europa League season, with both teams looking to kickstart the journey to restoring former glory.
Ajax has held the UEFA Champions League trophy on four occasions and Marseille once, and both teams can see an automatic ticket back into the competition with Europa League success. Former Premier League stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Steven Bergwijn will be key to either sides victory in a tight affair.
