Seven Gives Fans What They Want for Glasgow 2026 on 7plus Sport – With the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games less than a month away, Seven is preparing to deliver its biggest digital Commonwealth Games experience yet.
The Seven Network will launch a 24/7 digital offering on 7plus Sport, giving Australian sports fans more live sport, more replay options and more ways to follow the Games.
The 7plus Sport streaming offer for Glasgow 2026 will be built around 15 channels of live content and eight FAST replay channels.
Those FAST channels will be available when there is no live Games content. They will cover swimming, athletics, track cycling, artistic gymnastics, power and combat sports, team sports and bowls.
There will also be a curated Glasgow Glory channel. It will feature the best moments, Aussie highlights and standout performances from competing nations.
The video-on-demand strategy will also support the live coverage. Fans will be able to access short, mid and long-form content updated throughout each day.
That will include replays of every live sport, athlete profiles, features, explainers and digital edit series including Glasgow Golden Moments, Aussies in Action, Glasgow Goofs and Your Morning Fix.
Seven is the official Australian media partner for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, which run from 23 July to 2 August.
The Games will bring together more than 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories. They will compete across 10 days and 133 sessions of sport, with 215 gold medals on offer across 10 sports and six Para sports.
On linear television, Seven will broadcast Glasgow 2026 in prime time from 7.00pm each night. Live coverage will continue through to 7.30am across all 10 days.
The TV and 7plus Sport coverage is projected to reach more than 12 million Australians.
A number of new features have also been added to 7plus Sport for Glasgow 2026.
Upcoming live reminders will allow users to request notifications before live programming begins. Picture-in-picture on mobile will allow longer multi-tasking viewing sessions.
Live channel filtering and a live channel scroll on connected TV will also make it easier to switch between sports.
Flares will highlight key moments in on-demand content, while an upcoming live top feature will point viewers to what is coming next directly on the homepage.
A Commonwealth Games Hub is now live. It will serve as the primary destination for Games content, with athlete profiles, the latest interviews from 7NEWS and Sunrise, and the docuseries The Pursuit of Unstoppable.
Seven’s Head of Commonwealth Games, Anna Stone, said the 7plus Sport offer had been built to give viewers more control.
“What we’re delivering on 7plus Sport for Glasgow 2026 is a genuinely comprehensive streaming experience.
“Fifteen live streams, eight FAST replay channels, a 24/7 Games channel, and a suite of new features built specifically for this event.
“The platform improvements we’ve made aren’t cosmetic. They are designed to give fans real control over how, when and where they follow the Games.”
Seven’s Head of Sport Digital, Kirsty Bradmore, said Australian fans would be able to follow the Games in a more flexible way.
“There is no moment from Glasgow 2026 that Australian fans watching 7plus Sport will miss.
“Whether you want to follow swimming finals live at 5am, catch the athletics highlights over breakfast or set a reminder so you never miss your favourite sport, 7plus Sport puts you in control.
“We’ve invested heavily in the viewing experience. The goal is to extend the life of overnight competition, capture viewers who missed the live action, and keep the Games front of mind throughout the day by delivering a flexible, personalised viewing experience built around convenience and discoverability because we know Australians don’t just want to watch the Games, they want to live them.”
Seven commanded a 49-50% share of broadcast audiences during the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. It also recorded a 60% share of live streaming and reached 2.1 million people on 7plus Sport.
The total audience reach across Seven and 7plus Sport was 11.1 million.
In addition to Seven and 7plus Sport, Glasgow 2026 coverage and updates will be available on SCA’s Triple M and Hit Networks.
Triple M will simulcast Seven’s live broadcast from 10.00pm to 5.00am. During breakfast, Triple M and the Hit Networks will deliver breaking coverage of key moments and provide regular updates each day.
Glasgow 2026 also leads into a major second half of sport for Seven. That includes the AFL Finals Series, the Rugby League World Cup, Test cricket, the World Athletics U20 Championships, the Big Bash League and the Supercars Championship Bathurst 1000.
The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games are live and free across Seven and 7plus Sport.
