Cath Cox backs Diamonds to target record score against England at Glasgow 2026 — Cath Cox says the Australian Diamonds can target a Commonwealth Games record score against England in their Glasgow 2026 netball clash on Seven and 7plus Sport.
Cox and Kim Green previewed the Diamonds’ group-stage meeting with England during Seven’s Sunday night coverage.
For Australian viewers, this is one of the biggest early netball tests of the Games. It also renews a rivalry shaped by England’s 2018 gold medal win and Australia’s return to the top at Birmingham 2022.
Cox looks to recent form
Cox said England’s 2018 win on Australian soil would not need to dominate the Diamonds’ thinking before the Glasgow match.
They’ll just think about the things that have been more recent and that have been working in their favour.
Cath Cox
She pointed to Australia’s recent test-series form. She also noted the Diamonds’ Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medal.
Our record score against England in a Commonwealth Games is 66 and I reckon that is our target tonight.

Green expects confidence
Green said England would be disappointed by finishing fourth at the last Commonwealth Games. She also noted the Roses were missing several players in Glasgow.
I think the Diamonds will be making sure that they get this win and do it well.
Kim Green
Green praised the shooting form of Kiera Austin and Cara Koenen after Australia’s strong opening pool-game win over Tonga.
She said Australia’s midcourt would be important against England. The key would be feeding the shooters close to the post and keeping the scoring flow moving.
