Channel 9 finished 4.1 points ahead of Channel 7 despite Seven winning six of the seven nights. Nine’s 56.2% Sunday share, powered by the NRL Grand Final between the Sydney Roosters and Newcastle Knights, was large enough to decide the weekly result. The match reached 6.053 million viewers, while the NRLW Grand Final reached 1.788 million.
Channel 7 led every night from Monday to Saturday. My Kitchen Rules and Home and Away supported Tuesday and Wednesday, while Better Homes and Gardens led Friday entertainment and Bathurst coverage helped Seven win Saturday. ABC recorded its strongest evening share on Saturday at 24.2%, with Beyond Paradise and Lynley among its leading programs. 10 peaked on Monday at 15.5%, supported by Have You Been Paying Attention?, Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening and Cop This.

Channel 9 won People 25 to 54 by 15.8 points. The NRL Grand Final delivered a 77.9% commercial share on Sunday, and Nine also led Monday and Thursday as The Block remained a strong entertainment draw.
Channel 7 won Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in the demographic, reaching its best result of 41.7% on Wednesday when My Kitchen Rules narrowly led The Block in Total TV reach. 10’s strongest result was 25.8% on Monday.

Channel 9 recorded the week’s widest margin in People 16 to 39, leading Channel 7 by 23.8 points. Sunday’s NRL Grand Final produced an 84.3% commercial share, while Nine also won Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
Channel 7 led Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, peaking at 41.0% on Wednesday. 10’s strongest showing came on Saturday at 27.4%, when the Australia Cup Final was its leading prime-time sports program.
