Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach audience lead of 26 000 and an average audience lead of 17 000 over 9News. Border Patrol was #10 with 1 029 000 (563 000). A repeat of Highway Patrol was #17 with 761 000 (272 000). A second repeat of Highway Patrol was #18 with 752 000 (259 000). The movie, Unchartered was #9 with 1 045 000 (234 000). The Amazing Race was #100 with 163 000 (60 000).

Sunrise – Early – 561 000 (278 000)

The Chase UK – 434 000 (218 000)

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #3 with 1 402 000 (924 000). RBT was #5 with 1 249 000 (570 000). Topknotz – Wild on Water was #13 with 915 000 (304 000). A repeat of Limitless with Chris Hemsworth was #28 with 530 000 (142 000). 9News Late was #66 with 242 000 (112 000). Chicago Med was #108 with 146 000 (68 000).

10 News+ was #50 for the night. Deal or No Deal was #30 with 509 000 (267 000). Big Brother Australia was #14 with 863 000 (556 000). The Graham Norton Show was #15 with 843 000 (272 000). A repeat of Law & Order: SVU was #39 with 369 000 (145 000). An encore of Portrait Artist of the Year was #41 with 344 000 (156 000). 10’s Late News was #87 with 181 000 (90 000). An encore of 10 News+ was #97 with 166 000 (55 000).

ABC News was #8 for the night. 730 was #6 with 1 156 000 (740 000). Grand Designs Australia was #11 with 994 000 (538 000). Long Lost Family was #22 with 601 000 (295 000). ABC Late News was #62 with 254 000 (61 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 news program across Australia with People 25-54 and 16-39. The combined national bulletins secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.823 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.180 million – up 9.9% year-on-year. On 9Now, it claimed a BVOD Audience of 153,000 – up a huge 82.1% on the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia with all key demographics and Total People. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.402 million and a Total TV National Audience of 924,000. On 9Now, it registered a BVOD Audience of 114,000 – up an impressive 70.1% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point was the No.1 afternoon game show with Total People and all key demos across Australia. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.313 million, a Total TV National Audience of 710,000, up 11.1% year-on-year and a BVOD audience of 85,000, up a massive 93.2% year-on-year.
  • Love Island Australia was the No.1 program of the night across Australia and the 5 City Metro with People 16-39. Thursday night’s episode saw a Total TV Audience of 591,000 viewers – up an enormous 103.2% year-on-year. Tuning in on 9Now, it claimed a BVOD audience of 380,000 – up an incredible 104.3% compared to last year.
  • RBT registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.249 million and a Total TV National Audience of 570,000. On 9Now it claimed a BVOD audience of 76,000.
  • Today was the No.1 breakfast show on Thursday across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with People 25-54 and Total People. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 799,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 330,000. On 9Now it registered a BVOD audience of 51,000 – up 41.7% year-on-year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network on Thursday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos. 
  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD Platform on Thursday across Australia with Total People and all key demos.

7NEWS wins the night, 7plus soars 64%

  • National total TV audience share, 6.00am to midnight: 39.4%
  • National total TV audience share, 6.00pm to midnight: 37%
  • 7plus: soars 33% year-on-year
