Analysis for Total TV (10 October, 2022) and Overnight (17 October, 2022) ratings.
TOTAL TV
The Block was #3 overall but #1 non news in Total TV as last Monday’s episode lifted 31% to 1, 411 000 viewers, after already having an impressive overnight total. A Current Affair rose 7% to 1, 114 000, whilst Under Investigation was up 17% to 496 000.
Seven News at 6:30 was #1 overall with 1, 449 000, up 3%. Home and Away added 20% for a total audience of 972 000. Australia’s Got Talent was up 21% to 900 000. The US drama 911 had the biggest lift of the evening in the top 30 after rising 50% to 534 000.
The fascinating series Mirror Mirror (Part 1) rose 18% to 646 000, whilst Have You Been Paying Attention was up 24% to 931 000 viewers.
ABC saw strong gains across the board with Australian Story up 10% to 675 000, Four Corners up 11% to 733 000, Media Watch up 18% to 729 000 and Planet America up 8% to 398 000.

Analysis
Nine News won Melbourne by 2000 viewers at 6pm. ACA won the 7pm slot with an overnight audience of 652 000. The Block was #1 non news of the night with an impressive audience of 790 000. Under Investigation with Liz Hayes had 285 000 viewers, whilst a repeat of Suburban Gangsters had 170 000.
Seven News was the #1 program overall for the night with wins in all markets except Melbourne. Home and Away had 489 000 viewers, whilst Australia’s Got Talent had 470 000. 911 had 256 000, which is strong considering its on level playing field with Under Investigation but is a lot cheaper and gets around 50% uplifts in Total TV. SWAT had 128 000.
The Traitors managed 253 000 at 7:30pm, whilst Have You Been Paying Attention lifted on its lead in significantly with 513 000. The hilarious US comedy (check it out!) had 256 000 viewers.
A usual strong night for ABC with ABC News on 595 000, Australian Story on 436 000, Four Corners on 409 000, Media Watch on 397 000 and Planet America on 237 000.
