Although the special is played in good fun, the pressure remains very real. The clock, the questions and the prospect of facing a Chaser can make even experienced television presenters nervous.
The episode also includes questions connected to the contestants’ careers and areas of expertise, adding a more personal dimension to the game.
Who Is Brydon Coverdale?
Before joining The Chase Australia, Brydon built an extraordinary record across Australian television quiz programs.
He became the first grand champion of Pass the Buck, won $307,000 on Million Dollar Minute and also appeared on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, The Weakest Link, Deal or No Deal, Letters and Numbers, Sale of the Century and Wheel of Fortune.
Brydon also spent 11 years working as a reporter and assistant editor for one of the world’s leading cricket websites.
