Why the US midterm elections matter
Held midway through a President’s four-year term, the midterms decide who will hold the balance of power in Congress.
At present, Donald Trump’s Republican Party holds a majority of seats in both chambers of US Congress. As a result, News24 says Trump looms large over the contest, with the stakes extending well beyond party politics.
Then, as the polls close and the results roll in, News24 will track every key race in a contest the network says could impact global politics.
