Police Rescue Australia on Channel 9 – In the first episode of Police Rescue Australia, the team receive a call-out for an elderly man who’s missing in dense bushland on Sydney’s northern outskirts.
He’s suffering from dementia and hasn’t been seen for 22 hours. Police Rescue officers co-ordinate the search involving around 100 emergency personnel and volunteers. But with temperatures soaring, can they locate him before severe dehydration sets in?
In the Blue Mountains, Police Rescue officers are called to assist an injured bushwalker dangerously close to the edge of a waterfall. Getting her to safety before dark will be an extremely delicate operation, requiring the expertise of both Police Rescue officers and ambulance paramedics.
