Matchroom Boxing and Kayo Sports officially launch new partnership – DAZN’s Kayo SPORTS and Matchroom Boxing officially celebrated their new broadcast agreement on Tuesday night, with an exclusive launch event in Melbourne, held on the eve of the first fight of the new partnership.
Following the official weigh-ins for Wednesday night’s highly anticipated Skye Nicolson v Mariah Turner bout, key executives, media, fighters Skye Nicolson, Teremoana Teremoana and Mai Soliman, and athletes including Melbourne Storm’s Davvy Moale and Olympian Stewart McSweyn gathered to mark the start of a new era for boxing in Australia.
The event celebrated the milestone agreement announced in February, which saw DAZN and Matchroom Boxing sign a new five-year deal to extend their long-standing global partnership.
The renewed global deal guarantees a strengthened, year-round schedule of more than 30 world-class boxing shows per year. Following DAZN’s acquisition of the Foxtel Group, this extended global agreement specifically brings seven major Matchroom Boxing events to Australian audiences on Kayo SPORTS and Foxtel each year.
Wednesday night’s blockbuster fight night in Melbourne serves as the official kick-off for the partnership on Australian screens.

Foxtel Group’s Executive Commercial, Sport, Adam Howarth said:
“Boxing has a rich history and a deeply passionate fanbase in Australia.
“Securing these rights and partnership with Matchroom Boxing ensures that Kayo SPORTS remains the undisputed home of sport’s biggest moments.
“Bringing global Matchroom events to our shores each year is a massive win for our audience and reinforces our commitment to delivering premium, world-class boxing to Australian audiences.”
Matchroom Sport Chairman, Eddie Hearn said:
“We’re delighted to embark on this huge partnership for Matchroom Boxing.
“We pride ourselves on being a truly global boxing promotional company. We’ve dipped our toes in here previously, but now we’re up and running for what I believe is the most exciting time ever for Australian boxing.
“We cannot wait to stage some major events here in 2026 and beyond starting this Wednesday in Melbourne, with Skye Nicolson headlining and Heavyweight dangerman Teremoana in action – two future Aussie World Champions.”
The new era officially begins on Wednesday, April 29, with live coverage of Nicolson v Turner beginning at 7:00pm AEST, available live on Kayo SPORTS.
