Cody competes with his dad Geoff. Cameron, known for Boy Swallows Universe, teams with his mum Sharni. Overton joins her newsreader mum Jessica Rowe, giving the game three distinct parent-and-child pairs.
The question is not only who knows the most. Each parent must judge how many answers their child can give in a category, making confidence between generations as important as the trivia itself.
Three parents make the call
A low bid can suggest caution or a lack of faith. A high bid can leave a team exposed if the child cannot deliver. That is the central tension as Geoff, Sharni and Jessica weigh what they think Nick, Felix and Allegra know.
Shaun Micallef hosts with his son Gabe, mirroring the show’s intergenerational premise. The three pairs play for charity cash, while family pride and bragging rights remain part of the contest.
Tonight’s line-up also gives viewers a mix of comedy, acting and television news backgrounds. The players are familiar in different ways, but none can rely on public profile alone: the parent still has to decide what their child can answer.
