MasterChef Australia reveals Top 3 ahead of 2026 Grand Finale – Petro, Aaron and Vinnie have secured their places in the MasterChef Australia Top 3.
The Grand Finale airs Sunday, 9 August at 7.00pm on 10, with one cook to be crowned MasterChef Australia champion for 2026.
For 10, the reveal sets up the final stretch of one of its key tentpole formats. The season now moves through a playful judge-versus-contestant episode, a semi-final service challenge and a finale built around patisserie.
Top 3 Confirmed
Petro was already safe after securing immunity.
Aaron, Vinnie and Casper then had to cook dishes inspired by ingredients chosen by loved ones from home.
Aaron secured his spot with a dish celebrating garlic. Vinnie then joined Petro and Aaron in the Top 3, ending Casper’s run in the competition.
The Fun One
On Sunday, 2 August at 7.00pm, the pressure eases briefly for one of the show’s favourite traditions, The Fun One.
The Top 3 turn the tables on Poh Ling Yeow and Jean-Christophe Novelli, with the judges stepping behind the benches.
The contestants then get the chance to judge their mentors before the Top 3 face them in an epic feast challenge.
Semi-Final And Grand Finale
The semi-final airs Monday, 3 August at 7.30pm.
Petro, Aaron and Vinnie must each deliver a two-course fine dining experience for the judges and 20 diners.
Andy Allen returns to the MasterChef kitchen to mentor the Top 3 and help run the pass. By the end of the service challenge, two cooks will remain.
The Grand Finale begins with a Mystery Box challenge. The finalists will have 75 minutes to create a dish using ingredients that pay tribute to guest judges from the season.
The final challenge then brings in pastry chef Cherish Finden, best known as a judge on Bake Off: The Professionals.
Finden will ask the finalists to recreate her Chinese Afternoon Tea. The challenge features three intricate desserts and nine petit gateaux in total, with five hours on the clock.
MasterChef Australia airs The Fun One on Sunday, 2 August at 7.00pm, the Semi-Final on Monday, 3 August at 7.30pm, and the Grand Finale on Sunday, 9 August at 7.00pm on 10.
