Recap | Big Brother Australia 2026: Pheobe evicted as the big red button saves Kyrah on Channel 10 – Pheobe has become the third housemate evicted from Big Brother Australia 2026, after host Mel Tracina revealed live that she had received the fewest save votes. The big red button then delivered one final twist, saving Kyrah from a surprise double eviction.
Six housemates faced the public vote in Sunday night’s live eviction on Channel 10. Pheobe’s exit follows the shock pass-the-parcel eviction of Pam earlier in the week, which TV Central covered in Big Brother Australia 2026: Pam evicted after surprise party twist. Harmon was the first housemate to leave the house, and Pam has since spoken about her exit on the TV Central podcast.
A week ruled by the big red button
Earlier in the week, Big Brother installed a big red button in the house. Every push promised something for the housemates, whether a reward or a bit of chaos, but they would not know which until it was pressed.
Network 10 likened the week to The Sugababes’ famous line, “You’d better push the button”. As it turned out, Big Brother saved one of the most dramatic button twists for the final night of the week.
Why Pheobe was evicted
Pheobe had an emotional start to her Big Brother journey, admitting she struggled to feel like she fitted in with the larger group. However, she slowly began to find her place in the house.
Even after being nominated, Pheobe thought her very close friendship with head housemate Ebony could save her. Instead, Ebony chose to save Matthew, leaving Pheobe on the chopping block. As a result, Pheobe saved some choice words for Ebony as she left the house.
What Pheobe said after her eviction
After her eviction, Pheobe told Mel Tracina she was devastated.
I just wanted to have so much fun, and I feel like the one friend I made in the house kind of betrayed me.
Pheobe
Someone that you trust and care for in that situation when you would pick them, it’s really hurtful. I just hope she learns how to take care of people that care for her.
Pheobe
Her time in the house still had its highs. When Big Brother threw her an early surprise birthday party, she was on top of the world. The same party ended with Pam’s pass-the-parcel eviction, and emotions ran high, but Pheobe admitted it was still one of the best birthday parties she had.

The final button twist saves Kyrah
The remaining five nominated housemates were not safe yet. Big Brother revealed the night would become a double eviction unless the housemates pressed the button one final time to save the second housemate.
When Mel revealed that Kyrah was the second housemate who could be going home, Marshy was already off the couch. He was ready to push the button before it had even lit up, saving Kyrah for another week.
Meanwhile, the housemates appear to be settling into their new life, but Big Brother is already hinting at another shake-up. Network 10 teased the possibility of an intruder arriving in the house.
