The 54-metre yacht went down in August 2024 and seven people died. Eyewitnesses, first responders and maritime specialists revisit the events around the sinking.
The investigation considers the yacht’s design and safety documents alongside weather data, including questions about its large mast and the extreme conditions.
It also examines earlier maritime disasters and asks whether the industry needs stronger preparation for severe weather. AI-enhanced forecasting is considered as one possible tool for improving safety, not as a settled explanation for this sinking.
