Alone Australia season six casting now open on SBS – SBS is searching for a new group of skilled survivalists who are ready to face the wilderness alone.
Applications are open for season six of the hit factual series. Ten participants will be dropped into a remote location with limited gear. Each person must survive, self-film and outlast the others for a life-changing prize.
For Australian viewers, the casting call offers a rare chance to move from watching the challenge to living it. However, SBS makes clear that the experience demands genuine outdoor knowledge, mental strength and confidence behind the camera.
Who can apply for Alone Australia?
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. They should also have practical experience with survival skills such as hunting, fishing and foraging. Because every participant records their own journey, strong storytelling skills are important too.
SBS is encouraging applications from people with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. This includes First Nations people, culturally and linguistically diverse Australians, people with disability, LGBTIQ+ applicants and women.
The broadcaster says it wants contestants who can adapt when conditions turn difficult. In addition, applicants need to explain their survival experience, personal motivation and ability to work with camera equipment.
