Meet the cast of Alone Australia Season 4 on SBS – Alone Australia is heading further north than ever before, with Season 4 transporting 10 brave survivalists into the unforgiving wilderness of the Arctic Circle.
Premiering Wednesday, 15 July on SBS and SBS On Demand, the new season promises the toughest test in the history of the Australian version, with contestants battling freezing temperatures, dwindling resources and the psychological toll of complete isolation.
From outdoor guides and endurance athletes to farmers, fishers and bushcraft experts, this year’s cast brings a remarkable range of life experiences and survival skills into the competition.
Alyce, 36 (WA)
An Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer and passionate adventurer, Alyce discovered her love of the outdoors later in life. Armed with extensive trekking experience, fishing expertise and meticulous preparation, she hopes to inspire more women from diverse backgrounds to embrace wilderness pursuits.
Arash, 32 (QLD)
Born in Afghanistan, Arash’s early years were shaped by conflict and survival. Now a wrecking yard manager in Queensland, he combines bushcraft skills with the resilience forged through his refugee journey. His motivation extends beyond the competition, with dreams of supporting opportunities for women and girls in his hometown.
Clint, 57 (New Zealand)
A sheep and cattle farmer from regional New Zealand, Clint has spent a lifetime living off the land. With experience ranging from solo survival expeditions to a 10,000-kilometre sea kayaking journey around Alaska, he enters the Arctic ready to test the limits of his endurance.
Dougy, 43 (WA)
An electrician and devoted family man, Dougy grew up honing hunting and fishing skills that have remained central to his life. He hopes those practical abilities will help secure a future for his family and give him an edge in the competition.
Dylan, 35 (QLD)
A Palawa man and search-and-rescue tracker, Dylan sees Alone Australia as an opportunity to reconnect with Country and honour the knowledge passed down through his family. His journey is also deeply personal, with the prize money offering hope for his family’s future.
Jasper, 24 (WA)
The youngest contestant this season, Jasper is a permaculture practitioner and educator who embraces an off-grid lifestyle. A skilled forager, fisher and environmental advocate, he hopes to demonstrate that age is no barrier to survival.
Lillian, 25 (NT)
Originally from Sweden and now based in the Northern Territory, Lillian has built an impressive career as an international wilderness guide. Having worked in Arctic environments, she believes her cold-weather experience could prove invaluable.
Misty, 29 (VIC)
An adventure tour guide inspired by her Wulli Wulli heritage, Misty has dedicated her life to learning traditional skills and bushcraft techniques. She hopes to use the experience to pursue her dream of creating a sanctuary for young people seeking healing through nature.
Sia, 44 (VIC)
An ultramarathon runner and solo mother of two, Sia’s determination has been shaped by overcoming adversity. Combining endurance with practical resourcefulness, she enters the Arctic determined to challenge stereotypes and inspire her daughters.
Trent, 39 (TAS)
A former Navy chef and self-described outdoorsman, Trent brings years of survival experience and a fierce competitive streak to the challenge. At the heart of his motivation is his family and the desire to create a better future for them.
The toughest season yet
Season 4 marks a major evolution for Alone Australia, relocating the series to the Arctic Circle in Sápmi, Finland.
Contestants will face sub-zero temperatures, prolonged darkness and unfamiliar environmental challenges as they attempt to outlast one another completely alone.
With a $250,000 prize on the line, only one survivalist will emerge victorious.
