Tonight | Believe in Magic: The Mother of All Cons on ABC: an inquest into Megan’s death – Believe in Magic: The Mother of All Cons reaches its final episode tonight, as the questions around Megan’s death lead to a coroner’s inquest. The documentary airs at 8.50pm on ABC and ABC iview.
The three-part series follows a teenage girl’s charity for sick children. It brought fairytales to life and won celebrity backing from One Direction. But when some parents turned detective, a darker truth came to light.
A funeral is suddenly cancelled
Megan has tragically died. Her friends are devastated, as is the entire Believe in Magic community.
However, on the day of her funeral, the service is suddenly cancelled while families are travelling to the crematorium. The authorities want to carry out another autopsy, and rumours circulate that police are now involved.
How did Megan die?
Joanna and her fellow sleuths ask a simple question. If Megan did not have a brain tumour, how did she die?
Megan’s older sister, Nina, has long doubted the diagnosis. She is equally confused by the sudden death. Soon, they learn there will be a coroner’s inquest and a chance to finally understand what happened.
