The series follows the professional and personal lives of the firefighters, rescue crews and paramedics at Firehouse 51. The new season gives the house both a fresh arrival and a city that is getting harder to keep safe.
The season opener also sets up a weekly Wednesday run on Seven, with episode two, Primary Search, following on 28 October.
A new face causes tension
