Tonight | Centimetre Perfect on Channel 7: Dennis Cometti’s iconic voice celebrated – Seven’s feature-length tribute to Australian sports commentator Dennis Cometti premieres tonight at 8.30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Centimetre Perfect follows Cometti’s life and broadcasting career across more than four decades. His timing, warmth and distinctive turns of phrase became familiar to generations of sports viewers, particularly through his AFL commentary.

For viewers who heard his calls across the biggest sporting occasions, the documentary brings those memories together with a more personal portrait. Family, fellow broadcasters and athletes reflect on both the celebrated public voice and the person behind it.

The mix of family memories and professional reflections gives the tribute a broader view of Cometti’s influence. It connects the familiar commentary with the relationships behind the broadcasts, showing why his voice remains closely associated with major moments in Australian sport.
