Tonight | Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7: Colin tastes Galway’s best – Colin Fassnidge continues his Irish food tour with Atlantic oysters, celebrated chefs and a return to some familiar territory.

Episode 54 brings together food, home improvement, architecture, gardening and pet advice, giving viewers practical projects alongside a tour of some remarkable Australian and Irish locations.

Colin’s Ireland food tour reaches Galway

In Ireland’s seafood capital, Colin samples oysters fresh from the Atlantic at Kelly Oysters before visiting the restaurant of celebrated New Zealand chef Jess Murphy. His journey also includes a historic castle with a star-studded past, a return to his old stomping ground in Dublin and time with friends along the way.

Back home, Adam shows how to turn a functional backyard necessity into a feature by building a farmhouse-inspired clothesline with decorative posts. Charlie and Juliet join forces at an ageing worker’s cottage, using a new colour scheme, architectural details and sympathetic landscaping to lift its street appeal without breaking the budget.

A Sunshine Coast sanctuary and Retford Park

Johanna and Pete visit a Sunshine Coast home that takes the beach-shack idea to another level. The four-bedroom property offers three bathrooms, direct beach access, several entertaining zones, a magnesium pool and spa, and ocean views. It is being offered for sale with proceeds going to charity.

Melissa heads to Retford Park in the NSW Southern Highlands. Once owned by philanthropist James Fairfax AC and now cared for by the National Trust of Australia, the Victorian Italianate home sits among 30 hectares of parkland filled with borders, secret gardens and majestic trees.
