Tonight | Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7: Johanna meets Rally4Ever founder Louise Pleming – Johanna visits a community tennis programme, while Charlie finishes a family garden and Colin rethinks the vegetable frittata. Episode 59 airs Friday 30 October 2026 at 7pm on Channel 7 and 7two, with streaming on 7plus.

This week’s edition moves between practical projects and a story about community connection. Alongside the familiar cooking, gardening and decorating ideas, Johanna explores how a regular tennis session can bring people together and support their wellbeing.

Johanna visits Rally4Ever

Johanna meets Rally4Ever founder and tennis champion Louise Pleming. The not-for-profit brings people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds together on court. Johanna learns how the sessions help participants connect, build confidence and stay active. The initiative has expanded beyond Australia, with programmes in places including London and the Bronx.

Colin’s vegetable frittata

Colin sets out to make a vegetarian frittata he would want to eat again. His recipe combines sour cream and parmesan with sweet potato, red onion, mushrooms, chickpeas and goat’s cheese. It is a substantial take on a dish he once considered boring.

Charlie completes the family garden

After creating an outdoor entertaining area with Adam, Charlie turns to the adjoining lawn. He adds hedges, plants and a fresh stretch of grass to bring the backyard together. He also shares tips on laying a new lawn and considers why a rectangular patch may not be the best fit for every garden.

Juliet blends two decorating styles

Tash and Hamish have moved in together, but their design preferences differ. Tash likes jewel tones, antiques and a contemporary European look. Hamish favours a more relaxed contemporary style. Juliet works with both tastes to give their living room a cohesive design and offers ideas for combining styles at home.

Graham grows spring vegetables

Graham visits a community garden where volunteers grow and share fresh produce. From herbs and tomatoes to crops suited to pots, he looks at ways to start a productive garden this spring and offers advice on growing vegetables from seed.
