Tonight | A Taste For Murder on Channel 7: a body at a reclusive movie star’s villa – A Taste For Murder on Channel 7 opens with a grim discovery tonight. Two social media influencers find a woman’s body at the villa of a reclusive movie star. Episode five airs at 8.30pm on Channel 7 and is on 7plus from 6.00pm.

The episode is titled Ragu a Modo Tuo, or Ragu Whichever Way You Like It. As usual, the series names each story after an Italian dish.

The drama follows DCI Joe Mottram, who took a sabbatical after the sudden death of his wife Sofia. He hoped a summer with family in Italy would help him reconnect with his teenage daughter Angelica.

Who is the woman at the villa?

The central mystery tonight is the identity of the dead woman. She is found at the home of a reclusive movie star, and nobody seems to know who she is.

Joe and local Inspector Lara Sarrancino have formed a grudging partnership while solving a string of unusual crimes on the island. Along the way, Joe’s cooking lessons with Gennaro and Elena Da Vinale have often given him clues.

Danger closer to home

However, the bigger threat may be at home. Joe misses signs that Angelica and the whole family may be in serious danger.

That gives the episode a sharper edge than the case alone. The series has always set police work against Joe’s efforts to be a better father, and tonight those worlds look set to collide.

The show has also warned that everyone is harbouring secrets. A shocking revelation will eventually turn Joe’s world upside down.
