The Voice Blind Auditions episode 8 recap on Channel 7 – The Voice Blind Auditions reached another major moment on Channel 7 and 7plus as Sunshine Coast vocal looping artist Edde Masson earned a four-chair turn with a reinvention of Melanie C’s I Turn To You.
The episode also continued the season’s secret fifth coach twist, with Tones And I using another save after Moniquewa Williams missed out on a chair turn. It keeps one of the 2026 season’s biggest format changes moving through the Blind Auditions, while the main coaching panel remains focused on building its teams.
Edde Masson, 32, from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, delivered the night’s standout audition. Her version of I Turn To You moved Melanie C, Ronan Keating, Kate Miller-Heidke and Richard Marx, with all four coaches turning their chairs.
Edde also shared her journey back to music after becoming a mother and suffering hyperemesis gravidarum during pregnancy, which affected her voice and left her unable to sing for a long period. She joined Team Melanie C after Melanie praised the new arrangement of her own song.

The Wave Raiders, aged 15, 14 and 13, also from the Sunshine Coast, brought a burst of punk-pop energy to the stage with their original song Don’t Want To Be Late. The trio earned two chair turns and joined Team Kate Miller-Heidke.
The young group impressed the coaches with their confidence, musicianship and songwriting. Richard Marx praised the decision to perform original material, while Kate Miller-Heidke told the group they had made her day.

Jerikye Williams, 23, from New South Wales, gave the coaches a rock ‘n’ roll moment with Chuck Berry’s Johnny B. Goode. The Elvis tribute artist secured two chair turns and joined Team Ronan.
Jerikye spoke about growing up in a musical family and his dream of becoming a positive role model for Aboriginal children. Melanie C called him brilliant, while Kate Miller-Heidke praised his talent.

Moniquewa Williams, 33, from Canterbury in New South Wales, performed the Spice Girls hit Wannabe. No coaches turned, but Tones And I stepped in with her latest secret save after seeing potential in Moniquewa’s confidence, rap delivery and vocal ability.
Moniquewa joins Red Roy, Jamie Koul, Lilita Keni, Dicko, Georgia Dabbous, Cris J and Mikayla Durrant as artists saved by Tones And I so far this season.
