The Voice Australia 2026 finale draws 2.7 million viewers on Channel 7 – The Voice Australia finished its 2026 season with its biggest Grand Finale since 2023, reaching 2.7 million people across Channel 7 and 7plus.
The episode, which crowned Yung Milla as the winner, delivered a national total TV audience of 1.23 million. That was 46% higher than the 2025 Grand Finale, according to figures released by Seven.
The result completes a season of broad-based growth for the singing competition. Its gains across broadcast television, 7plus and viewers aged 25 to 54 make the finale more than a one-night spike and give Channel 7 another entertainment franchise that increased its audience in 2026.
The Voice Grand Finale posts strong growth
Yung Milla’s victory was the most watched episode of The Voice since the 2023 Grand Final. The finale also attracted 230,000 viewers on 7plus, rising 77% from the 130,000 recorded for the equivalent episode in 2025.
The 2026 season brought Melanie C, Richard Marx, Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke into the red chairs. Tones And I joined the blind auditions as a secret coach, while Sonia Kruger returned as host.
Across the complete season, The Voice reached 9.18 million Australians. Its average national total TV audience increased 16% to 1.25 million, while viewing among people aged 25 to 54 rose 17%.
Streaming contributed strongly to that performance. The programme averaged 330,000 viewers on 7plus across the season, a 48% increase year on year.

Seven points to wider entertainment gains
Seven said The Voice was the latest major entertainment programme on the network to grow during 2026. Farmer Wants A Wife achieved its biggest audience in five years, averaging 1.29 million viewers and increasing 24% on the previous season.
The dating series also delivered what Seven described as a record 7plus audience for a reality programme. Earlier in the year, Australian Idol averaged 1.08 million total TV viewers, up 2%, while its 7plus audience increased 74%.
Seven also highlighted My Reno Rules, describing the renovation format as the top new entertainment programme on commercial free-to-air television in 2026.
Seven praises contestants and production team
Seven Director of Content, Unscripted Majella Hay said the season had held viewers’ attention from its opening episode.
“The Voice has had audiences hooked from the very first episode. The addition of the very talented Tones and I as the secret coach turned the blind auditions on their head. A massive congratulations to ALL the contestants, coaches, ITV Studios Australia and our integration partners.”
Seven Director of Sales, Television and Streaming Katie Finney said music gave advertisers a way to connect with shared emotional moments. She said the season’s cross-platform growth delivered greater reach and engagement for the programme’s commercial partners.
“The growth we saw this year was outstanding: our total TV audience grew 16% this season, with the 7plus audience jumping 48%, giving our partners and advertisers even greater reach and engagement with Australian audiences.”
Finney thanked Jaecoo, Aldi, Origin and Hayu for supporting the season and helping Seven bring its musical performances to viewers around Australia.
The Voice continues as a cross-platform franchise
The final figures underline the changing shape of large entertainment formats. Channel 7 still supplied most of the audience, but the 48% season increase on 7plus and 77% growth for the finale show how catch-up and streaming viewing expanded the programme’s reach.
The Voice Australia is produced by ITV Studios Australia for the Seven Network.
